Ecosystem science community inspires the ESC advocacy
Australia’s ecosystem science community was identified for the first time when a nationwide survey and town hall workshops where held in all capital cities to gather information for developing the Foundations for the Future long-term plan. Over 600 people from many organisations across the country become involved and after the plan was developed they later voted in members to form the Ecosystem Science Council. This was a significant achievement for Australian ecosystem science, as it was the first time the collective ‘voice’ of this diverse community has been captured and shared.
